South West Wedding Awards 2019 Feedback

2/17/2019

Thank you to all our lovely couples who anonymously voted for us and got us to the Finals of the South West Wedding awards 2019.
We didn't win this year but just getting into the finals in our 1st year of owning the business gives us a great sense of achievement!
However, we did get amazing feedback from all who voted a couple of weeks after the Awards Ceremony so we could see what they all said about us and Hank. We have posted them onto the Testimonials page if you would like to check out how they felt about us on their Special Day.
We couldn't be more Proud of Ourselves and humbled by their comments.

Hi Folks
Well it’s the end of our 1st Season as new Directors of Honey Bugs Cornwall and Owners of Handsome Hank.
We have had the best time being a part of such Happiness from beginning to end!
It’s been a privilege to be Chauffeurs for every Bride and Groom who booked with us, to be involved in their most special day and to start their journey into married life in the very coolest way. Knowing we are forever in their memories gives us such a warm fuzzy feeling, we can’t thank them enough.
We threw ourselves in at the deep end with gusto, even though this wedding malarkey was totally new to us we have thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of it including all the in beteeen bits ie Wedding Fayres and Showcases including Royal Cornwall Show.
Hank just draws the crowds and all just fall in love immediately upon setting eyes upon him. We are very Proud of him and ourselves.
We have just updated our Website to include pics of all our weddings from this year 2018, it’s looking so good.
Until next time...Sara and Symeon xx

Say hello and goodbye..

As a business, we are always looking to evolve and improve our services and this year we have made a few changes to our Honey Bug family.
At the end of the Summer we took the decision to retire our modern Primrose Yellow convertible Beetle, Miss Molly. Molly will still remain with us in the family, however she will now be performing family car duties and shopping runs. We realised that as with anything, over time everything is subject to wear and tear.  Molly is still a beautiful car with her leather interior, however as we like to keep our vehicles tip top, we knew that it wasn't easy to maintain a duel purpose car.

However, its not all sad news. As we say goodbye to Molly, we say hello to Sandy!

Sandy is a red and white .splitscreen camper who is able to seat up to 5 passengers. Sandy recently came 2nd at the CVWOC show and shine for the best standard splitscreen camper. In addition, due to her marvelously original 1960's camper interior and charm, Sandy has been magazine featured in Camper and Commercial Magazine (not an easy feat!). We look forward to taking Sandy to a few wedding fayres over the winter period!

Wedding Alliance- South West Bridal Show

Last Sunday, Rich and I were invited along to the Southwest Bridal Show at the Royal Cornwall Showground. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, we were unable to take our cars however, we loaded up our trusty Honey Bugs suitcase and went none the less. This was the first  show of its kind in Cornwall and we were intrigued to see what it was all about.

The huge hanger/ room was filled wall to wall with wedding suppliers. There was everything you could possibly need for planning and organising your wedding, with venues, cars, chocolate fountains, dresses, live entertainment and catwalk shows.
It was a great day and Rich and I got to meet old faces and new, along with a couple of our current brides who are already booked in with us for 2016 and 2017 weddings.

The wonderful I do Film Weddings, who do fabulous wedding videography and marryoke made a short 'fairoke' with all the wedding suppliers (including Rich and myself).  It was such a laugh and would make a great memento for any wedding. Check out he video below:

Hank and Melodie

As the wedding season kicks off,I'm finding that it's taking me longer to regularly update our blogs (SORRY).

Over the last couple of weeks, there has been so much going on at the Honey Bugs HQ, that its hard to know where to start! So lets start with a windy day and a photo shoot......

A couple of weeks ago, Hank was used as part of a photo shoot for Jolly Brown Clothing.

The shoot had been planned weeks in advance, but unfortunately when the day came, it turned out that Cornwall was experiencing one of those epic storms that are given a name (the name escapes me at the moment). With horrendous winds and stormy seas, our beach location was completely out of the question! In fact it was just too dangerous.

The show must go on and thankfully our friends at  Coastal Valley Campsite offered their services and their lovely sheltered campsite for the shoot.

The model for the day was the marvelous Melodie Shakespear (model and sponsored surfer). Melodie was a true pro and despite the freezing weather, she managed to smile throughout. The crew may have been wrapped up in scarves and woolly hats, but Melodie modeled the clothes like it was a summers day.

Along side Jolly Brown Clothing, other amazing individuals who contributed to the shoot were, Shooting Elements Photography and Natasha Flower Make-up artist and not forgetting Coastal Valley Campsite in Newquay.

We are in love with every single photo! They are amazing! In fact there are just too many amazing photos to show on just one single blog post!

A big thank you to everyone involved!!

South West Wedding Awards Finalists!!

Rich and I are over the moon that Honey Bugs wedding cars has reached the finals of the South West Wedding Awards 2016!!

We really do want to thank all the couples who voted for us. Its such a cheesy cliche when I say that Honey Bugs really does mean the world to us. We have so much passion and enthusiasm for the business and everything we do behind the scenes only has one purpose in mind, which is making every couple's time with us extra special.

Although I am the first point of contact for enquiries and correspondence, I very rarely get to meet our couples (unless we get to meet at a wedding fayre). When Rich comes in following a wedding, I love hearing all the details. Knowing our couples have enjoyed themselves is one of the highlights of my day. I especially love hearing from our customers after the event and seeing their wedding pictures.

Rich and I are now looking forward to the awards ceremony in March. It will be a great opportunity for us to meet some of the other finalists.

Watch this space, but thank you once again!!

Sarah x
