This week Rich has been working his socks off on our original vintage rickshaw. Our 1972 original Indonesian rickshaw will soon be available to hire as a wedding prop for photos or for hire as quirky wedding transport in Cornwall. 
Although it was in full working order when we acquired it, we thought that for the purpose of weddings it needed a wedding make over. So this week it has been shot-blasted back to bare metal and been given several coats of primer ready for new paint. Eventually we will be giving it a lovely new canvas hood. 
As far as we know, this is the only vintage Rickshaw available to hire in Cornwall and so we cant wait to get it finished and photographed ready for lots of lovely weddings. In good old Honey Bugs tradition, the rickshaw will need a name! So far we have come up with Ricky, Betty (the Betjak rickshaw) or Jack. Personally I  would like something more a little original so watch this space. 

Welcome to Honey Bugs. This is a brand new exciting wedding car business run by my partner Richard and I (Sarah). Although Honey Bugs is a new business we are no strangers to wedding car hire. For the last five years we have been running Fistral Bays Camper Hire in Newquay; providing fantastic self drive VW camper holidays, honeymoons and affordable weddings. We decided to set Honey Bugs up as our sister company as we wanted a pure wedding business. We wanted to keep our VW Beetles soley for weddings ensuring they are kept in a beautiful condition and in tip top shape. We currently have 3 VW Beetles available for weddings in Cornwall with new vehicles joining us in 2014.

Alongside our VW wedding vehicles we also have a range of quirky and different vintage inspired wedding accessories and props to hire. Richard and I  have always had a love of all things vintage collecting vintage suitcases, record players and vinyl records as well as being inspired by the music and the fashion. Having been in the wedding industry since 2008, I have seen the wedding trends gradually change. I realised that nowadays nobody wants an ordinary wedding, they want an EXTRAORDINARY wedding. Our aim is to provide something a little bit different that will get guests talking! Watch this space for new on our wonderful items.
