Congratulations to Sam and Alex who got married at Gwithian on the 28th June 2014. After weeks and weeks of red hot weather, the wedding day finally came and what do you know, the weather only went and turned! Not only did it turn, it turned in a spectacular fashion. Sam and Alex had booked two VW Beetles for their wedding (Bella and Bradley). Bella was to carry the bride and groom and Bradley was to carry the bridesmaids. As usual Rich drove Bella, but this was Dave's first time chauffeuring for a wedding. Bella and Bradley had already been cleaned the day before, so at 11 am Rich and Dave went to collect them, ready for the drive down the A30 to Gwithian. With rain clouds looming, Rich decided not to put the ribbons on the cars until the last minute and closer to the venue. This turned out to be a very wise decision as Dave and Rich had every type of weather thrown at them . During the journey the rain became so bad that the roads were flooding! This was then followed by thunder, lightening and mud on the roads. Luckily we always carry some emergency on board cleaner to give the cars a last minute rub down before arrival. Just before Dave and Rich arrived with the bridal party, they were able to stop off, clean the cars and dress them in fresh ribbon. Looking at the cars, you'd never have guessed the previous horrendous weather. Following their church service, Alex and Sam went down to Gwithian beach with Rich and Bella, for a few photos and a nicely chilled glass of Fizz. We are so glad everything turned out well in the end and the sun shone on you both xx | |
